Roofing services for the KZN coast

Six specialisations, one standard: work that keeps coastal homes and businesses dry through storm after storm.

Roof Replacements (Tile & IBR)

When repairs no longer make sense, we strip and rebuild. From the trusses and battens to underlay, flashing and final ridge capping, a Coastal Ridge replacement is engineered for Durban humidity, salt air and summer storms - and finished with a written guarantee.

Included as standard

  • Concrete clay-look tiles and Colorbond-style IBR sheeting
  • New underlay, battens and flashings throughout
  • Structural checks on trusses before re-covering
  • 10-year workmanship guarantee on full replacements

Roof Repairs & Leak Sealing

Coastal rain finds every weakness: lifted sheets, cracked tiles, perished flashing and blocked valleys. We trace leaks to their true entry point rather than patching the stain below, then repair with materials matched to your existing roof.

Included as standard

  • Water testing to confirm the true leak path
  • Tile, sheet, flashing and valley repairs
  • Ridge re-pointing with flexible compounds
  • Before-and-after photos with every report

Waterproofing Systems

Durban downpours punish flat surfaces. We install torch-on and liquid-applied waterproofing systems over concrete slabs, screeds and box gutters, building up proper thickness at corners and upstands where failures usually start.

Included as standard

  • Torch-on bituminous membranes for flat roofs
  • Liquid rubber systems for complex shapes
  • Box gutter relining and parapet sealing
  • Maintenance plans to keep warranties valid

Gutter Installation & Repairs

Undersized or sagging gutters dump water against fascias and foundations. We supply and fit correctly sized seamless aluminium gutters with adequate downpipes, plus leaf diversion for homes surrounded by coastal greenery.

Included as standard

  • Seamless aluminium gutters cut on site
  • Correct fall and downpipe sizing calculated
  • Leaf guards for palm and jacaranda debris
  • Repairs, re-hanging and re-sealing of existing runs

Storm Damage Repair

When summer storms tear sheets loose or drive rain through weakened flashings, our storm team makes your roof watertight first - tarps, temporary seals and structural safety - then returns to complete insurer-ready permanent repairs.

Included as standard

  • Priority response during storm season
  • Temporary weatherproofing to stop interior damage
  • Insurer-friendly documentation and quotes
  • Coordination with your loss adjuster on request

Roofing FAQs

How much does a roof inspection cost?

Initial inspections for quote purposes are free within our service area. Formal written condition reports (for purchases or insurance) carry a fixed fee, quoted upfront.

Can you help with insurance claims?

Yes. We document damage to insurer standards, provide itemised quotes and can liaise directly with your loss adjuster to keep the claim moving.

What guarantee do you offer?

Ten years on full replacements, three years on major repairs, and manufacturer warranties on all materials – all confirmed in writing before we start.

How do you protect against coastal corrosion?

We use marine-grade sheeting near the shore, coated fixings throughout, and detailing that keeps salt spray out of laps and joints. It costs a little more and lasts far longer.
